Hey, no problem at all, my friend! So far you have some of the greatest pictures on DA, in my opinion. Each one full of life, telling a story. Without emotion, there is no art. Without feelings, there is no soul. You combine both to form great masterpieces I hope you had a fun time over there in New Mexico (was that the place you went to?). I'm going to take a few nice trips to the tall redwoods sometime this summer... I can't wait! The tallest trees in the world! I had no idea I lived near them until my father let me know. So hopefully I shall attempt a great task as capturing such raw life.

Anyways... I'm finding it difficult to transition into Manual settings on my Nikon 5700. The automatic features are so convenient, but I am dissapointed with the lighting most of the time. I really need to learn how to set the aperture, ISO and shutterspeed manually to fit the environment. Have any quick tips, master?

Randomness is always fun when you have friends with you. It seems that we all get together with nothing to do, and by the end of the night we will have traveled at least 30 miles in my car, and gone to about 5 different places all across town. We never really have a plan of what to do. It just happens spontaniously. "Hey, I feel like Cold Stone Ice Cream... but I don't want to go to the one right by here. Let's go down town to eat it there!" So there ensues a half hour trip downtown Sacramento to have some Cold Stone icecream. We usually end up eating it right on the river. Friends are great!

Right when my mom told me to get a job, you know the first place I went? BORDERS! Unfortunately it wasn't hiring season. I tried each and every bookstore and they all weren't hiring. I guess my job is good, though I will never cease to desire working at a place like Borders. Maybe even Jamba Juice... now THAT would be fun!

your friends sound really cool, and my close friends do the same thing... they are mourning my loss... though i'm not really lost, cause both michael, and my friends are in the same group (cause i brought them together years ago! go me! ) oh well, it's a funny retual! man i STILL can't spell! ... i'm glad you're hanging out with your friends, and random things like DDR and Billiards, if you can find someone to do them with, are really fun!... i wish i could do that kinda stuff... 2 more weeks! and i might get a job at none other than my favorite book store! lol, BORDERS!

Poetry does come to me when I am searching for ideas to put onto paper, but most of all it comes to me when I least expect it. Usually it comes in the form of an inspiration I draw from some unexpected source. Then from the time it takes me to find paper and pen, I usually revise the poem more and more. Then it just flows out on paper. Though I seem to have much better luck writing on a computer, it flows easier.

Well let's see... I've been becoming closer to my friends. Though, I've recently had to mourn for one of their death's. Not a LITERAL death, so to speak. You see, in our group of friends we are all single guys (not a typical, stereotyped male... we chose our friends carefully). And we enjoy the single life greatly, because we know at any time 'disaster' can happen and one of us won't be single anymore. That's called "death". So one of my close friends found someone for him the other day. We were extremely happy for him, but in our silly 'single guy' ritual we mourned for his 'death.' We are not implying that having a partner is bad for you, quite the contrary in fact. We all really want to find that special someone for us, but we are trying to have as much fun as we can being single. Which usually ends up with us playing something goofy like DDR or Billiards. *ahem* Yay for random babble! Yea... nothing new, other than us hanging out a lot. It's something fun to do, and they are a real good-moraled group of people. True friends!

yeah, your poetry is so great!! but poetry is an expression of yourself, and should not come in the way of other things, but flow through those other things, and just come out on paper... like what i posted yesterday... if i sit down long enough, with a piece of paper, i WILL write something... lol

*jaw drops in gaping horror* I guess the inevitability caused that dreaded thing to arise yet again! Though, those were some great conversations. Back in the good ol' days... Wait! What am I saying? Today is just as good as back then. I guess a bit of reminiscing never hurt anyone The Night We Danced... I miss writing poetry. I miss it a lot. It's still in me, I can feel it, I just never let it come out anymore. There's always something else in the way. I believe that poetry should not be pent up inside, but expressed outwardly like a ray of light. What use is such beauty if no soul was able to see it? Alright, I think I just had a miniature prophesization; "note to self; write more poetry".
