Artist's Comments

If you talked to a tree and inquired about its age, you would probably receive a response in the hundreds. However, such things are not a possibility with our inability to communicate with nature. Wonderful stories and recollections from these ancient beings aren't able to be heard with our primitive understanding of language (or what we define as language). How does one gain knowledge of these stories? Well in order to find out a tree's age you would have to kill or injure it first. In order to understand the way water flows you must first have an empty lake. We've only begun to understand this world we're in. Our technology, even as many 'conveniences' (of what I call hindrances) it creates, is holding us back from our full potential.

What stories does this deceased tree tell you? Whom did it meet, and what adventures do they tell? Always keep an ear out... nature says many things.

Cool concept and well executed ( no pun intended in regards to the dead tree!)
